It seems that Bruce has a[death wish] for his career with some of these crappy movies he's doing lately.

Disagree. I think we need more movies like this today. And more real life Bernie Goetz's.

As Howard Stern said, Goetz should have gotten the congressional medal of honor.

I still use his classic tag line (Goetz's, not Stern's): "You don't look so bad...here's another".

Bruce is 62 years old, I have a hard time buying into this based on that alone. Bronson was 53 when the first Death Wish was released in 1974.

Can't tell from that clip, as long as he's not running around doing parkour moves while shooting bad guys at the same time I might buy into it.

No. Looks like a violent old timey shoot the bad guy not once but twice ( just to be sure) type of movie.

I hope that in the actual movie, AC/DC doesn't start playing when Bruce drops a car on some dude. :D

Watching this trailer– I was really interested in this until the AC/DC soundtrack kicked in* and it started with the usual cliched quick one-liners-before-the-hero-kills-the-bad-guy and "who is that man" quotes supporting what an absolute badass the hero must be. I've already seen this film a billion times before. Immediately shelved this to rental only status. I won't be seeing this in the theater.

I would have edited the 2nd half of this trailer entirely differently.

*I'm a huge AC/DC fan, but a really good action movie (or trailer, for that matter) shouldn't need to fall back on a cliched rock soundtrack. Maybe it's what the execs feel they need to sell tickets, I don't know.

My guess is "Back in Black" won't be in the movie. The one-liners, though -- that's guaranteed with Bruce in the lead.

Unless it gets great reviews, DVD will suffice.

    Dirty Harry next ?

There are just certain things that need to be in every film nowadays to satisfy the Gen X and younger crowd. Have to have tons of snarky comments and a pop music soundtrack as opposed to an actual composed score. Those are the first two that come to mind but I'm sure there are lots of other things.

Bruce Willis has played so many of these "aging action bad-ass" roles that he can probably do them in his sleep by now.

    Charles Bronson was Paul Kersey.

Bruce Willis just started filming his next action film in Cincinnati this week. It's called "Reprisal." Been making the news all week. Hell, he was just in town a year or two ago filming one of his other movies, "Marauders." I guess he and the producers of his movies like using Cincinnati.

Alright. I had a minor freak out when I saw the trailer. Actually that's false. There isn't much that can get me riled up anymore coming from Hollywood.

But I thought to myself. I haven't seen the original 1974 trailer. So I watched it.

They're both selling the same thing in each trailer.

Now we know how the first one ended up.
Let's hope this is a way to hype up to new audiences, or just the lame audiences rather, and they slip a great movie in there.

    Watch and think about it.
