Arnold. He's just a lot more fun.

 

(saying it in very bad Australian accent) Arnie would eat Sly for breakest. Though it is Sly who's the one putting something "extra" in his coffee these days.

 

With sly stallone, its not an accent, he was born that way.


Stallone's birth, in the charity ward of a public hospital (close by to the Actors' Studio - again prophetically), was a difficult process. Weighing in at 13 pounds, he did not come easily and was indeed tugged from the womb by an intern with a pair of forceps. This drastic and rather unprofessional procedure would sever a nerve above the baby's jaw, causing his famously drooping eyelid and lip and also a speech impediment that would take years of therapy to overcome.

 

Arnie, just for the Terminator movies.

I think Stallone has the higher level of talent of the two, though...

 

They are both puffy looking old men now with too much botox! But why does Stallone's head look so small now? His head is shrinking!

My thoughts exactly. I enjoy Arnold's movies just a little more than Sly's, but you can't deny Stallone's talent. So it's a tie for me.

 

I give the slight edge to Arnold, because of his bodybuilding career.

 

Rocky is unironically my single favorite film ever made.
Rocky 3 is one of the most entertaining (with irony).

I like the first two Terminators as much as the next dude but Schwarzenegger was never capable or interested in making a seriously GOOD film. Stallone made one, so he wins in my book.

I don't like anything else either of these people ever did.

 

I have to go with Stallone on this one. They both have had good movies under their belts and some utter dreck but Stallone has Copland in addition to the Rocky movies and the Rambo movies, all of which I enjoy.

 

Would Arnie put some shrimp on the barbie too?

Anyway, for me, Stallone over Arnold, by a mile! Though, there are many films by both that I love.

Stallone has made some classic films and seriously good films. Rocky and Rambo films, Copland, Nighthawks and a few other serious action/dramas.

Arnold has made some classic films too, but not necessarily considered seriously good films: Terminator films, Conan films, Predator, Commando, The Running Man, Total Recall. All fun action films.

Though, both have made their stinkers too, mostly failed attempts at comedy or poorly written action films.

 

I like them both maybe Arnie has a bit of an edge for Terminator and Conan. and all the one liners, that keep on giving!

Hmmmm....

While I do dig The Terminators, Predator, and The Running Man, the number of Sly films I like (Rockys, Rambos, Copland, Victory, Tango & Cash, Cobra, Nighthawks, Over The Top, Daylight) dwarfs Arnold's list by a wide margin. Plus, I just like Sly more as a person. Yo.

Rocky is my #2 favorite film of all time (it was #1 for a very long time....might still be, talk to me tomorrow). And I love, love, love Copland. I wish he'd try more challenging roles like that again.

Always despised the Rocky and Rambo franchises, so Sly is behind the 8-ball with me right off the bat. I do not understand the viewpoint that Stallone is any more talented, as his attempts at truly acting are just as abysmal as Arnold's. It works like this for me: Terminator, T2, Predator and Commando against Cliffhanger, Demolition Man and Cobra. Arnold wins by a pec.

terminator 2 and predator are right at the top of my favorite action/sci-fi guilty pleasures. arnold for me.

 

Yeah, the first two Rocky movies are truly great films. But I'm a sci-fi/fantasy geek, not a film buff, so it's Arnie for me.

 

Argggh eww ohhh ahhh arghh!!! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Rocky 1 and 2 are better than anything Arnie's done, so Sly for me.

Rocky is my favorite film.

 

Stallone is a better actor when he needs to be, but Arnold arguably has a better filmography.
