Sly is winning the muscles department these days... looks super fit in the latest Walter Hill flick.

I read somewhere that since Arnold's heart surgery, his heartrate is not supposed to get very high. He even takes medication to prevent it from rising to high.

If so, I would think his ability to work out is very limited now.

Right before his movie career really took off with Conan, Arnold came out of a 5 year retirement to win the 1980 Mr. Olympia in Sydney, Australia.

F*** this s**t. I like 'em both. They were both part of my childhood. I won't choose.

A little off-topic, but why after 23 years is the uncut version of Cliffhanger still not available on DVD/BR?

That makes sense. I was reading a men's fitness/men's health magazine before Christmas where they interviewed Arnold and followed him to an early morning workout. They mentioned that he doesn't lift heavy weights anymore and the purpose of his workout seemed to be more for function and preservation rather than bodybuilding. Back at the hotel breakfast, Arnold ate a bowl of oatmeal with some fruit and made a comment about not eating a big meal too early in the morning.

This is a miniature Arnold I picked up back in 2013.

Picked these guys up in 2014. The level of realism is uncanny and they're heavily armed to guard my music collection.

I liked Schwarzenegger in "Conan" and "Pumping Iron."

    I never liked Stallone.

I can't choose between the two. Both have made some of my favorite action movies and for that I'm grateful. Just watched "The Last Stand" with Arnold and enjoyed it.

I think Sly's Rocky character gets the acting kudos award. For muscles on a plate I'd give the award to Arnie( at least in the eighties ).

Arnold for action movies, but I take Sylvester more serious as an actor (did I say that?). :)

I read it a few years ago. Frankly I was kind of disappointed, because Arnold doesn´t have anything to say about his movies, besides business facts, how well they did at the box-office and why he thinks they earned the specific amount of money they did. They are just plain products for him. At least I hoped to get some inside stories on the making of Total Recall, but it´s the same tone as his audio-commentary on the current BD. He see´s everything just from a business perspective. Also he doesn´t focus this biography on his movie career. Half of this book is about his bodybuilding past; and the last chapters about his political ambitions and private scandals...

So, if you´re interested in these aspects of his life, give it a read. If you just care for his movies, you will hardly find anything worthwhile, interesting or new in this publication...
