There seems to be absolutely no love for the animated TV show called Arthur on here. So, I decided to make a thread just for the show!
Love it! Ziggy Marley sings the theme (at least in the 90s and early 00s when I was watching with my kids)
I think it's a great show. My kids watched it all the time when they were little. It wasn't afraid to tackle "sensitive" subjects that are pretty commonplace now but were not 15 years ago. They also liked "Postcards from Buster," which had another great theme song from Wyclef Jean:
No, I mean it's another great theme song (like the Arthur one), and Wyclef Jean did it. It's funny; I was going to put a comma in that sentence because I thought it might be misread that way!
We never watched the show, but we had a lot of Arthur books that we read to our kids growing up. John K.
It had a good run. It's time for the cast and crew to move on to other stuff. Also, the first three seasons (basically the first 65 episodes) were the best. Nothing the show did after that will ever top those.
Singing "if you get caught between the moon and New York City"... Whoops wrong Arthur! When I first read the title to the thread I thought about the song by Christopher Cross. As for the cartoon, haven't seen it in ages but used to watch it all the time with my kids. We still have some of the DVDs. Need to revisit it sometime.
Havent seen this in years When I was younger I would get out of school and watch the 3:30 episode of Arthur on PBS Damn... memories are coming back
