Chris DeVoe RIP Vickie Mapes Williams (aka Equipoise)

That one is going to be tough as she seems to have little to no interest in being involved in anything like that.

I have a copy of Q here that devotes 22 pages to an overview of her career, and a rave review of her recent shows...and she declined to be interviewed.

Roxy Music have a documentary with archive footage and members interviewed. Very lukewarm reviews.

Jeff Beck was supposedly working on one in 2009 or so.

    Color Me Obsessed doesn't count?
There are docs for some of the other bands above. What is the standard everyone is looking for?

edit: DJ LX beat me by about 1/2 second

  16. An even modestly comprehensive documentary on Modern Jazz, to compliment the Ken Burns doc (which focused almost exclusively on pre-1960 jazz, but mostly the swing and big band eras).

Everything from Charlie Parker on up to today would be great, with the biggest focus on WWII up to about 1980, but it should also include more recent developments like M-Base and the like.

Color Me Obsessed definitely does not count. It's really more of a documentary about Replacements fans, and a pretty boring one at that.

    Loads of Velvets docs already
The Byrds and The Small Faces are the big omissions for me.

Well the title puts me off for a start - is it a US production?

    There is this,
    but they deserve better

I have trouble finding a single fault with it.
