Don't hate any of these, just don't have a strong feeling one way or another. But I feel pressure to like them because of friends or other folks that are into cool music. I think that contributes to me avoiding them a bit:

    1. Arcade Fire
    2. LCD Soundsystem
    3. Talking Heads
    4. Rolling Stones
    5. Father John Misty

Again, I recognize they're all quality artists just don't feel a strong affinity for any of them. And I even own some of their albums.

This must be a poll for young people because at my age (56) I'm not "supposed to be into" anything

If the feeling ain't there, it ain't there. Life's too short to listen to music you don't care about, especially when there are SO many great alternatives!

I'm not "supposed" to be into any particular artist or group. Who says what I'm supposed to be into or not into? What is this, Middle School? :)

I think I agree with you on all of these. Esp 1 and 5, and Bon Iver is in the same boat.

I'm sure at some point in your life you read about artists that were well respected, but you just didn't care about. Or you had other musically inclined friends who were into such and such artists. It's not a science, just something to BS about on a message board.

... there's probably more. Actually Springsteen doesn't belong there, he isn't interesting enough.

Exactly. Back in the late 70's/early 80's there was a progressive rock show called Stone Trek (hosted by Greg Stone) and he always pushed Genesis much more than the other progressive bands. As much as I tried, I just didn't take to the Genesis sound/approach. Eventually, I stopped listening to the show because of the hosts bias. Life's too short.

You either like an artist, or you don’t.
Who says you’re “supposed” to like anything?
And why would that even bother you?
    Doesn’t make any sense.

Nirvana (I am not sufficently in awe of them)

    and

Black Sabbath: You can't tell me they are as good as all the crosstalk I get about them. Those were some boneheaded songs. It was like a negative example of why the Beatles were good. And after a while people just forgot.

Have to admit I could never really get into Arcade Fire. The debut or whatever the first full album they had just never clicked with me.

I also can’t work up much enthusiasm for listening to The War On Drugs.
