You are the MVP of my weekend. Gave up the Starz package since this was all I watched on it and relegated myself to Blu Ray purchase. I'm very patient. But, now, a binge is on the horizon.

Man, that stinks! I wonder if Tapert's forced re-write of the end of Season 2 and the subsequent direction the show took did it in?

    From Bruce's FB

Ash Vs Evil Dead has been the ride of a lifetime. Ash Williams was the role of a lifetime.
I will always be grateful to Starz, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and our tireless fans for the opportunity to revisit the franchise that launched our careers. Thank you!

Thanks for the link. This really sucks since season 3 has been really great.
It's definitely one of my favorite shows, but as they stated in the linked article, viewership has
dropped this season. I guess most viewers today would rather watch Dancing With The Stars
or The Voice than quality television. And its been getting worse and worse.
The thing is, "Timeless" (another one of my favorite shows) was cancelled after it's first season,
but then UN-cancelled and is now in it's second season due to fan reaction to it's cancellation. Maybe there's still hope
    for ASH......

    Just love this show.

Should have not moved it to Sunday night against the big dogs.

Starz only cares about Counterpart at the moment.

Do you think they had enough time to see this coming and craft an ending? Just because we're hearing about it now doesn't mean the writing hasn't been on the wall for the production team.

Ok, I just finished streaming tonight's episode "Judgement Day" ahead of time, and this
is probably the costliest, and most remarkable episode of the series. I'm not going to
give any spoilers, other than to say it is absolutely must see for any Ash fans and horror fans.
And the trailer for next weeks episode at the end is simply remarkable.
But also, unfortunately, the trailer refers to next weeks episode as the "series finale"
so I guess they knew ahead of time that this is the end.
But it begs the question....just how are they going to end it? It looks like it is going
to be truly sensational. Can't wait..........

I'm being careful. I haven't watched the final episode yet. But I'm caught up through ep 9. I love how well this series has retained the vibe of the movies.

A decent ending, but I think the decision to go with a new cast member as Ash's daughter, rather than going with the original plan of Kelly being revealed as his daughter, ruined the momentum the series had up to the last episode of season 2.

What a great sendoff. It ended exactly the way it should have.

I wouldn't mind the supporting cast picking up the show. The Ash story is pretty much tapped out.

While I understand that Bruce Campbell retired the Ash character as previously mentioned, here we are in 2019 and it's a shame they haven't launched a new series with the supporting cast. Of course, I said the same thing about the possibility of having Bruce and Coby Bell reprise their roles as Sam and Jesse in a new series after "Burn Notice" ended.

I miss Evil Dead. I really do. They could have done 10 seasons worth for me.
