    I will NOT DO THIS.

I hope if enough people join me they will reconsider this ridiculous idea.

Is there a 'for sale' forum here?

[rant]Heh, try buying from another country where US sellers will not ship no matter what. Talk about a PITA when you have money to spend. Thank goodness for US based SH Forum members is all I can say.[/rant]

I agree with you about keeping your CC on file just be able to buy something. Seems ridiculous especially when the majority of sellers accept any kind of funded Paypal.

 You've missed our Classifieds Forum somehow since 2009?

Yes, I never knew there was a FS forum here. Had to go look for it.

Now that I've seen it it's almost all software.

Wish we had a dedicated hardware for sale forum, hint, hint.

no, there's hardware posted also, just a smaller volume than CDs/vinyl. I'd list your items, but be patient and remember to bump !

I quit doing business on Agon long ago. I sell most of my higher end pieces on Craigslist, believe it ro not.

Could be much improved if broken into 3 subforums: digital software, analog software, equipment.

That's not happening for me. I do everything via PayPal. If that is not satisfactory for them then they have seen the last of me.

I did one piece of business on Audiogon a few years ago and then things changed. They're long off my radar. Then again, I'm not a big buyer/seller of gear so most of it doesn't matter much to me anyway.

I'd guess the CC on file is to cover selling fees to A'gon, not to purchase items from sellers.

US Audio Mart looks better all the time!

  10. Also try Canuck Audio Mart for some cross border shopping!

    Let me see now...

I had a $$$ purchase on Audiogon go south on me and Audiogon sided with the seller, even though he was clearly in the wrong.
Then they "updated" the website making it clunky and totally unfriendly for browsing, compared to the way it had been before.
    And now this.
Well, they lost my business a long time ago anyway...maybe this will be the last straw for those still doing business with them!

I doubt it. That site is like the Keith Richards of audio.

I received an email today stating the new policy along with other news about site upgrades. I have been trading there for more than ten years but did stop selling after the big changes a couple years ago. Kind of a shame, but things change.
My last few sales have been through USaudiomart, AudioCircle or ebay. Guess it will stay that way.
It would be nice if this site's classified section were more active for hardware.
