  1. Everybody contributing to this thread--here is the Apple website for the John Lennon Educational Tour bus. If you don't know about this project, it's really neat. Check it out if you get the chance!

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

    ...audiophile in cold digital?

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

If the hardware is good, digital is not cold.

  4. I stand corrected! Digital is getting better at affgordable price points--witness the latest round of DACs from Benchmark, Musical Fidleity, Grace, etc.--but most vinyl rigs easily smoke digital.

To my ear, SACD has a lot of the warmth of vinyl, but alas it seems to be a dying format--or, more accurately, one that was never allowed to grow.

Seriously, folks, my idea was NOT to start a Mac/PC bashing contest. For some reason, my simple suggestion to consider a Mac as--what I believe as--an ideal solution elicited very strong opinions from some PC fans.

I agree with the person who said you should do your own research, learn about how computers work and what you want to sell, and see what works best for your business model.
