Back catalogue releases related to McCartney's 2016 move back to Capitol - First releases announced*

Just got the same email about an hour ago. I wonder when they were notified by the record company. Something tells me within a few days of the announcement right around the time they pull the listings from their web site. Oh well, I'll be ordering from udiscover tonight. Thanks for posting updates!

 

What the dickens?!? At first it supposed to be an on-line exclusive only, then it actually turns up in some stores, and now it's shops only.

I'm not one to criticise but Capitol have certainly hit the ground limping with this first set of releases, what a bloody farce.

 

Good question. You know the colored vinyl Maccas appeared briefly on Amazon but were pulled in less than a day (IIRC.) Seems like the availability through indie shops and on-line via the McCartney site were a part of the original announcement or shortly thereafter. In fact there was some initial confusion (at least on my part) that these releases were part of RSD.

 

Ok, I got a box today from udiscover with 7 of the 8 titles........Missing Ram. At least my order does not say it shipped. With a little luck.....
They never had a tracking number and they were wrapped in cardboard,not actually a box. I have yet to get a refund for missing title so I can only assume that Ram may ship separate. Let's see.

 

When did you place your order?

 

It was always indie stores and Macca Universal only. That’s why I was surprised to see it up at soundstage.

 

Oh right. Being in the UK I saw it couple of times up at Universals site but I hadn't heard the indie store stuff. I saw them listed for a little bit at HMV's on-line store as well so God knows what the real deal is. 500 only? Who really knows at this point?

I'd gladly pay $10 for that "Now Spinning" display.

 

Let's not forget Musicvaultz - they were the cheapest option available! $200 for the set of eight. And I had mine within a week of release. Granted their shipping left a little to be desired, but it worked with no damage.

My soundstagedirect bundle also cancelled and refunded. Hope my uDiscover bundle shipped email means I get all 8 titles and not missing one. I got the email last Friday. I wonder how long it will take?

 

I'd been wondering if we had yet achieved "debacle" level on the Mazzy scale.
