I'll have a free day in Baltimore soon so of course I'll spend some of it shopping for used vinyl. Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

Trax On Wax - Frederick Road in Catonsville; definitely the best record store in the Baltimore area.

In the Fells Point area near downtown, there is El Supremo on Aliceanna I believe, and Sound Garden just around the corner, which has new and used as well as a big digital selection.

There's also a store called Normals at 31st st. and Greenmount ave.

I'll second the recommendation for Sound Garden. Although when I was there I was shopping for CDs, it looked like a good place for vinyl too.

I have not been to the new location, and the old location wasn't necessarily very big, but Protean Records near Federal Hill might be worth a look see Protean Books & Records | Facebook »

FYI, Trax On Wax sells only vinyl, and possibly a few CDs, but only those of a few local bands.
