Band pictures that may have looked cool then...

So, I pulled out Rush's 2112 tonight to give it a spin and I looked at the back of the jacket again... I thought, man, they look pretty goofy! Amazing album, funny picture.

What other band pictures look silly by today's standards that may have looked cool back in the day?

 

You have to judge that picture by different standards. It was taken in the future.

Hahaha I've never seen that. Almost looks like he is wearing a skunk pelt on his head.

 

I had almost the same thought, but I thought he was wearing a beaver butt on his head.

Back in the mid-80's or so, a buddy of mine was telling me about a new band he liked and showed me the album cover. Really, I said - I didn't know you were into all-girl groups?

That group was Poison.



It took him several minutes to convince me he wasn't pulling my leg when he said that these were all guys.

This probably wasn't even cool in 1986 (bad pun approaching), but evidently they thought it was a fine idea at the time. Now, it's just a brilliant mistake.
