    *facepalm at this thread*

At least give a reason why you don't like the artist, but love one song. But I know that won't happen, since this is basically a troll thread.

the song is great and the drum beat kills!

As per Standoffish's point, I'll elaborate on my choices below:-

Jethro Tull - Aqualung, I can't get into Tull at all, mainly due to Ian Anderson's vocals but the riff & drumming in this song are killer
Smashing Pumpkins - Today. I'm not a fan of this group at all, I can't stand Corgan but the melody in this song makes it stand out
Abba - Dancing Queen, Abba are a bit poppy for me but you just can't deny this song, I would probably listen to the drum track alone quite happily
No Doubt - Hella Good, No Doubt are awful but the riff in the chorus of this song reminds me of Deep Purple or something, it's brilliant
The Jam - English Rose, The Jam are basically a poundland Mod band, but English Rose is stunning, completely out of character for them

  5. Why is it necessary to have a reason to love a song?

Why do I like "Kashmir" above all other Led Zeppelin songs? I really don't have a clue but I guess I could make something up. I could cite Jimmy Page's awesome guitar playing isn't he usually awesome?

There are some cases for bands/artists whose catalogue I haven't explored but I do like specific individual songs. These examples come to mind now but there are many others:

"Walking on Sunshine" -- Katrina & the Waves
    "Free Fallin'" -- Tom Petty
"Walking in your Sleep" -- Romantics
"Mirror in the Bathroom" -- The English Beat

I've had a dislike for The Dave Clark Five ever since 1963.

But for some reason I love the Starline stereo LP version of Can't You See That She's Mine.

I really like Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi but find most of their music too poppy sounding for my taste.

I like the whole "concept" of the Sex Pistols, but as for the actual songs this is the only one I really like a lot.

I'm not a fan of Kansas; I find their high harmonies annoying and don't care for any of their "progressive" stuff.

But "Dust in the Wind" is a great song.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal in most parts to not love "Albatross" by Fleetwood Mac...at least it should be illegal.

That's the fault of Mick and Mac for not giving the name edition numbers. Then I could have written "Fleetwood Mac VI" or whatever it is now.

I don't like The Rolling Stones, and have never understood their mass appeal.

However, I do like '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' - that guitar riff ranks as one of the most memorable riffs in rock history.
