And perhaps therefore you may be missing out on their best...
I give you Creedence Clearwater Revival for starters.....Never been tempted to explore their albums, although I know they are held in very high regard by a great number. There is no logical reason why I have not, because I enjoy their "hits"....Anyone else care to add to the list?

I love CCR and a couple of their albums have some rad stuff that weren't hits. However, picking up the greatest hits volumes #1 and #2 are adequate to thoroughly enjoy them, IMO.

I've never listened to full albums by Madonna, Michael Jackson, INXS, Diana Ross & The Supremes, yet I love many of their singles.

Most bands I only know for their singles, including '60s big names like the Turtles, Lovin' Spoonful, Herman's Hermits, etc.

CCR is another but I like Porterville!

The Who used to be another, but I've finally gotten around to exploring their albums.

Most soul artists whom I don't own box sets for, like Sam Cooke or The Four Tops.

Also many 60s/70s pop acts like The Grass Roots, Three Dog Night, and ABBA.

The Pretenders, the last of the great English singles bands. Their albums don't do much for me.

Bee Gees definitely! Love their singles, and wore out my dads copy of Bee Gees Greatest when I was a kid. The only non comp album I ever had was Main Course, which I don't even remember much, except the singles and Wind of Change.

Their best songs (Imo) are their album cuts.

Three Dog Night is the first one that comes to mind.
At one time, I would have said America, but I have gone back and explored their back catalog up through the Human Nature CD. Definitely worth doing - a lot of good album cuts like "Letter," "Are You There," "Rainy Day," "Another Try," etc. A homemade compilation is in the works.

Before Fly like an eagle / Book of dreams the Steve Miller Band were mainly an album-oriented band , and their early albums like Children of the future, Sailor and especially Recall the beginning are worth checking out

Almost all soul music, Motown, disco and rap. If I've ever heard anything at all it's been a radio or video song.

The Spoonful, ABBA, Sam Cooke, Boyce & Hart, Slade, Eric Burdon & The (psych-era) Animals... The Grass Roots, sorta (I do enjoy the Live for Today album).

Know all the hits, own a couple of compilations, but not sure if I've ever heard an album track.

Wings, except Band On The Run. It shall remain that way - I own some/have heard most of the albums out of reference and remain thoroughly unimpressed.
But - this is a great comp.

Most 60s pop, Motown, and Stax/Atlantic artists. Abba too.

Three Dog Night for a long time, but have been buying the Iconoclassic CDs as they're being released.
