I got into a furious argument with a guy on a local music forum. The dude hates Bangles and claims they are nothing but a cheap throwaway 80's 120 beat per minute pop like Modern Talking or something (at the same time praising Kim Wilde's talents!) I'm trying hard to explain him the magic of Bangles and particulary their 1981-1984 raw garage era and All Over the Place as one of THE guitar pop masterpieces of the 80's that stood the test of time incredibly well yet it all falls on deaf years. What's your take? What do you think?
