Slated for July 3 release, the Jane Fonda sci fi classic Barbarella. Maybe the price will go down a bit on the preorder. Jane's come a long way baby. Or has she.

    What's with the crazy prices ? The DVD's priced at $ 48.95 ??? I paid $6.99 3 years ago (about all it's worth IMO).

I agree that Jane looked her best in Barbarella, and BTW, I just got this movie on a pan and scan LD and I enjoyed the movie.

 Saw this on VHS a long while back. Wonder what features they'll offer?

Wonder if musical group Duran Duran would do a commentary track (just for fun) on the Blu-ray edition.

I picked up the BD a few months as a blind buy. I enjoyed it, and the soundtrack was great.

Debbie Harry REALLY loves this movie and thinks Jane Fonda's portrayal of barbarella is the epitome of feminismo.

    Really.

Just saw this (on Netflix) for the first time. Very 1968! A cheesed-up, low budget cross between Star Trek and 007. Jane looked maaaaaah-velous though!

The original 1968 opening titles. Never released again.
