I suppose you walk into a bar and everybody shouts "Norm!"

  2. Anyone who has seen Psycho should be aware of this "spoiler".

My cousin got to see Psycho on opening weekend in 1960 New York where no one had any idea what was about to happen. It was a vivid life changing moment she never forgot.

It's funny. I am playing the zombie video game Dying Light, and it has a motel in it called Bites Motel. :)

Has anyone read about what's going to happen in Season 3?! I won't give any spoilers, but this should be a good season.

Well he definitely sleeps with his mother.

I watched Psycho with my son Saturday and he got to see how whacked Norman was. From what I've read that Vera Farmiga says, it gets a lot more weird this season. Really interesting show.

Was a bit ambivalent about the season premiere tonight. It's inevitable that things have to get really creepy but I found it less than than compelling. Part of me is not eager to move down that road yet.

I’m really curious as to what happened to the “new” character at the end of this episode. Obviously, that’s the whole point of the ambiguous ending to the episode; we don’t know. But I saw a several articles touting the casting of the character, which leads me to believe that they’re trying a fake-out as far as implying that Norman might have killed her. Either that, or they over-hyped the casting of the new character to make hardcore viewers think she was sticking around.

I also find interesting the simultaneously subtle and anything-but-subtle aspect of Dylan (who obviously has his own issues with incestuous situations) telling Norma that sleeping with Norman is weird.

I thought it was a good opening, ratcheting up the perverseness a bit right at the start. I've got my seat belt on.

Same here. Late last night I started to post a comment that it looks like the motel is missing a guest. But you could be right....it could be a move to throw us off. I wouldn't mind if that female guest stuck around for a bit. I could see her creating a point of contention between Norman and his mother and also between Norman and Emma.

Remember at the end though, Norman comes back in her car. Last night when I saw that I thought, "Norman offed her too." Maybe he dropped her off and drove the car back, but it sure seemed like Norman had the hots for her and to paraphrase Monty Python, "She is ... no more."

Here is the description on imdb of the next episode:

Norma and Norman focus on Annika's disappearance; Norma learns the truth about the Arcanum Club.

True, Norman could have been responssible for Anika's disappearance, but it seems unlikely to me that Tracy Spiridakos was hired for just one episode; it could be that she disappears from the Arcanum Club and we see her again soon. . . .

Interview with Spiridakos. . . . Vague, but seems as if there is more than one episode she's involved in.
