I have been recording these off of tv and the quality is crap compared to the new restored release so much so I did a double take.
I hope a dvd set gets a cheaper release I don't have a blue ray player.

Seeing this reminds me(in reverse) of what happened then M*A*S*H came out on DVD. It reminded me how much syndication cut from episodes to make a buck. Now with Batman, the whole thing did a 180. Now we're seeing stuff in syndication that the official item is missing. Strange indeed.

  10. I'm not even that worried about the loss of one-minute, sad as that may be. I was more disappointed with their choice of a lossy soundtrack for the Blu-ray. The audio recording definitely had enough fidelity for a PCM soundtrack. Everything else seems to have turned out rather well.

Especially when it says 120 original BROADCAST episodes. Either somebody in charge doesn't know what original broadcast means, or they're really bad at lying.

yes all of that and they don't care or it would have been done right the first time...what really is amazing is that we have to be chastised for being pissed off about this and except this like it is normal? What the heck?

I'm just glad I couldn't afford this right now. I'm ballistic after seeing the episode in question and how abrupt the cut is. Maybe you and I are weird in demanding what is advertised. Imagine that! Yes, the quality is stellar but seal the deal and deliver what you advertise.

LOL! no, we expect what is advertised...plain and simple.

Abrupt. The plotline has been satisfied, and they fade out to commercial !!!!! The missing MINUTE is the completely throwaway scene between the last commercial and the end credits.

  17. According to Warner, that "missing" minute from the Marsha Queen Of Diamonds episode was ADDED to syndication reruns by series executive producer Bill Dozier and NEVER SHOWN on the original ABC telecasts... :p

Then that's it. It's settled. NO deletions, nothing missing. No wonder the subject was dropped over at Blu-ray.com. Glad to hear it. Now the whiners and complainers can find another subject to cry about.

    Sweet vindication.

I'm waiting, too. There's no way that 3 seasons of any show should cost over $200.
