The cheapest they were to date was with the Music Direct Turkey day coupon, bringing them down $3, I would not expect them to go much lower, I hope I am wrong.

Just got my order in the mail. Unfortunately, my only method of listening to these (outside of my car) is at the Apple store being repaired. My iMac's HDD is being replaced so I'm unable to give them a good listen until at least tomorrow or maybe as late as Monday.

Decided to open Shut Down Volume II for a preview photo.

 

Would be interesting to compare between the 6 available SHM SACD and these ones.
As far as I remember, only shut down vol 2 was available in SHM SACD

 

I am so confident in these that I sold my entire set of Pastmasters discs two years before these were even announced.

 

I did a cost-per-track analysis on this initial batch and decided my existing copy of "Denny's Drums" and "Surf Jam" sound just fine to me
But count me in for SMILEY SMILE onwards.

 

Will be interesting to see M. L.'s name amended on the old timey looking publishing credits for the other albums. I'm not sure if Capitol had to amend anything for Shut Down 2.

 

No Kevin Gray comments? No spectrum graphs?

 

There's something about those cases that seems very wrong to me.

I wasn't aware that Kevin Gray mastered those two tracks before. Please enlighten us as to where we can get Kevin Gray "Denny's Drums" on the cheap.

 

Where did he say he had other version that Kevin Gray mastered? He said what he has is good enough.

Forgive me, I'm thick: are the mono and stereo versions contained on a single disc? The description says "Mono and Stereo Mixes", but it also states this:

By specifying that Kevin Gray mastered this new version, S.P. is implying that what pdenny has isn't good enough.
