Beach Boys Pet Sounds Quandary: Original 1966 mono version or modern stereo remix?*

    Warning to the mono/original crowd: these were selected by Brian but most are in stereo and have been remastered and/or remixed. Digital is involved also, so I think another warning might be warranted for the analog people.

    But since Brian selected these, I'm sure he intended for you to listen to them. He probably would prefer you buy the CD rather than just listen to the samples.

    It's surely what his intentions are...

    I did buy it and the sound is great.

    EVEN if it's not original mono analog.

    I don't think so. To be referred to as the fifth Beatle isn't too shabby.

    Yes, many do realize how important he was for the Beatles.

    Via excellent musical arrangement, production, and the overseeing of sound engineering.

    Along with wise and steady guidance.

    They would have been a different group without him.

    Their music would have been different.

    And I don't think they would have been as successful.

    I don't think they would have explored such vast musical territory.

    Even as the four Beatles were extraordinary.

    The best band ever.

    They made a great team: The Beatles and George Martin.

    Just like Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys.
