I’d rather they do an AAA stereo box in the same manner as the mono box. There was plenty of time to get a mono box.

  2. I don't see why the two have to be mutually exclusive. Glad you got your monos, but there is obviously still demand for them

Yes that’s true. I’d like to see both of course.

Strange that there is no repress of individual monos at least. The demand is still there.

With MFSL Beatles boxes averaging $1500 plus I see the Mono box going upwards to 2k by end of year especially after the dust has settled and it is pretty much a given there will not be a repress.
I personally do not think a repress will happen at this point.
Buying these as single copies will be even more expensive and time consuming than biting the bullet and getting a box now.

I think that $1,000 to $1,250 is probably more realistic, at least come Decmember. But years from now, who knows?

Years from now you might have the 2019 limited box set, the 2021 orange box set, 2022 the special label set, etc....

More likely we will have the Complete Giles Martin Remixes on special "splattered effect" vinyl. This will just make the REAL albums more desirable. I can see these mono boxes fetching £5K in the future.

No joke here: When my ex and I separated in 2003 she was adamant about keeping the Beatles CDs and I didn't replace them
    until 2009.

I am sure the buyers of the blue boxes thought the same then. These companies and the copyright owners don't make money from them by sitting still.

Bought one today solely because of this thread, felt like I was missing out by not owning one. Of course at $399, it was kinda a no brainer.

A decent price at this stage of the game. Money well spent!

I was in Saturday and for curiosity took a look and all they had left in the racks was one Mono Revolver. Whether there are more downstairs I don’t know. But I was surprised.
I don’t need any. I’ve got the box and UK originals. But I won’t be surprised if they repress individual titles in the near future. Why not, they moved plenty and there is still a market for them.

The thing that will keep these out of print isn’t necessarily a cunning Apple plan but simply logistics. One the masters need to be recut (how long to Mothers remain viable?) that would mean going back to the original analog tapes and that might be a step to far. The 2014 box might have been the last hurrah in terms of Apple being willing to futz with the original tapes now that they have a digital archive.

    Under for sure.

    :shh:

I think it's safe to say that the 2014 is on par with the original UK cut.

Good luck finding a minty copy! :)

Great reissue is same as original UK then I’m in good shape. I have 2014 and original never compare them.
    Thanks
