Is this factual? I just saw this quote: For the single for the album, "Paperback Writer" Paul demanded, and got a louder bass sound after demanding it from their record company. (as a rule because records of the time had a weak bass sound to avoid having the needle skip needlessly) I was listening to the Capitol box. Most sounds fantastic to me. Especially the vocals. I did notice that the bass was rather weak in some songs. In fact my sub turns on after a few seconds. There wasn't a significant difference with the sub on or off. The Second Album did have more bass. I was wondering if these were actually mixed this way on the originals. I know Ringo was always "toned down". When I adjusted the bass higher on certain tracks it just got boomy.
