Are there any pictures out there of the Rubber Soul cover not distorted or outakes from the session?

No. There's a bad Photoshopped version of the cover somewhere on the net.

The Beatles always looked the best in creamy B&W to me. Takes me back to being a kid, I guess.

One of my all time favorite pics from early 1968, shortly before leaving for India.

It's possible, but it ain't easy. All the chord shapes will be upside down.

No, Hendrix restrung his guitar. Albert King played his upside-down, though.

I'm always stunned when I read that they played 3 states away on the same day. No TSA hassels I guess.

The Beatles were doing a week long tour in Wales (1963)...and commuting to Liverpool between gigs for some TV work. Also on the bill was Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas...my guess is that their gear and suits were late arriving to the hall and had to borrow the kit that belonged to Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas

Here's more info on that gig in Wales courtesy of the BBC.

    Odeon Cinema, Llandudno
    Monday 12 to Saturday 17 August 1963

The Beatles undertook several brief residencies in 1963, many in coastal towns in England and Wales. One of these was a six-night season in Llandudno on the north Wales coast.

Also on the bill for the week were Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, the Lana Sisters, Sons of Piltdown Men, Tommy Wallis and Beryl, and Tommy Quickly. The compère was Billy Baxter.

The shows began at 6.30pm and 8.50pm, and tickets were priced at 4/6d, 6/6d and 8/6d. One of the audience members was Mary Hopkin, then just 13 years old, who would later be mentored by Paul McCartney.

My friend did this one actually. Took the image from the Danger Mouse "Grey Album" and modified it. I think he did nice work here...
