Beatles: Revolution 1 mono.

    Well, the mono WA was holy to me until I actually heard it. Sounds like a first pass at a final mix. The stereo version is the winner here, with a few exceptions.

    Revolution 9 is also a fold down. The other 28 songs have dedicated mono and stereo versions.

    A lot of bits and pieces that should have been edited out, and were in the stereo version. Fun to listen to and compare, but overall the stereo is the definitive version.

    I will say though, any one who loves While My Guitar Gently Weeps should hear the mono version. I rate it just as highly as the stereo mix.

    No, it isn't. There are several differences in the mix even before you get to the ending part.

    I think John & Yoko did the mixing for R9, as the other Beatles & George Martin did not want it on the album. Although Paul had made similar tapes in the years prior to this, he knew it may not be suitable for a mainstream album release in 1968. Would have been better to have Not Guilty on the album.
