I think there's a two week free preview or something.

Pity if it isn't. I've been attempting to get a free 30 day trial on my computer for months now with no success.

I get Sirius "Basic". I just checked on the internet component of my account and did not get ch 18 (I sent a complaint about it since I get 18 in the car).

Years ago when Sirius first offered internet streaming someone shared their access code freely. That hole was soon plugged up. I thought that they did offer a free preview of the streaming, however if you were a former customer they might not offer it to just anybody. This is just a guess since I thought I saw streaming previews offered.

    Station Overview

Loving it! As of this evening, this is where I'm at:

    18 Songs per Hour

    10 by The Beatles

    6 by solo Beatles

    1 Influence

    1 Cover Song

So, that means more Beatles songs per hour by count, but more
minutes per hour by the other categories, as the group songs are
    almost always under 2:30.

    Song Notes

    John

    Heard: "God"
"Working Class Hero" (Yes! With the F-word intact!)

    Want: "Rock'n'Roll Music" album cuts

    Paul

Heard: "Mull of Kintyre" (2 times)
"Coming Up (Live)" A version I didn't know!

Want: "Red Rose Speedway" Side Two Medley

    George

Heard: "My Sweet Lord" (3 times)
    Want: Traveling Wilburys

    Ringo

    Heard: Most Every Hit!
    Want: All-Starr Band Live cuts

    Wish List

Hoping that the station evolves into something more people
will get into. And I'd like SiriusXM to realize that the Beatles
were not just influenced by artists who came before them, but
also by their contemporaries (Dylan, Brian Wilson, The Byrds,
Canned Heat, etc.) and they play some cuts from those artists.

I like not selecting what I hear. Sometimes, I want others to choose for me.

As an aside, this morning (around 8 AM PST), they played 3 long songs in a row: "I Want You (She's so Heavy)," "It's All Too Much," and the Red Rose Speedway medley. That was interesting. It was Chris Carter's Breakfast with the Beatles.

    See above!

I started listening during yesterday mornings commute, since then I have heard I Feel Fine 3 times. I don't mind the solo Stuff also found out that Cheap Trick does a great Job covering Beatles songs. I will stay tuned a while I usually listen to Deep Tracks or Ozzys Boneyard but will keep it on the Beatles channel a bit.

Back around 1984 a radio station in Houston became a 24hr Beatle station. It eventually changed but I tuned n a few times. As great as The Beatles were and as popular as they were/are I don't think there's enough material to devote an entire station to them. That's a pretty tall order when you think of it. I could be wrong but it would seem that most people who want to hear The Beatles for long stretches are people that probably own all of their albums or at least most of them. So they can do that themselves and have control of what they want to hear and when. Am I missing something here?

    Beatle Radio Number Nine!
As a 16 year old Beatles nut in 1982, I had a pile of their stickers. I wish I still had some or even one!

So it was 1982 and not 1984? Memory isn't what it once was. I did forget the call letters.

I was able to listen to the station tonight as I drove home from work. I am in a rental car this week (I was in an accident last week and my car is at the body shop) and it has Sirius, which I do not usually have. It was fantastic. I listened between 5 and 6:15 PM EST and there was a show on called "Northern Songs" which appears to do a theme each time it airs. I'm not sure how often it airs, but they did say there would be a repeat of tonight's show on Thursday at 11 PM.

Tonight's theme was "1970"--which I was over the moon about, as this is one of my two favorite years in Beatle history (the other being 1965). They played a selection of songs from Let It Be, All Things Must Pass, McCartney, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Sentimental Journey. Wonderful selections. At one point, the host played "Let It Be," "My Sweet Lord" and "God" all in a row and said those were three different comments on "the ultimate question." Really fascinating stuff, especially hearing George praising God followed directly by "God is a concept by which we measure our pain."

I actually broke down in tears at one point, when they played "All Things Must Pass." I haven't been able to listen to that song since 2010 due to some personal associations with it. It was so comforting to hear during a bad week in my own life and in the world's life with the terrorist attack in Manchester.

After the show ended at 6, they went into a regular string of Beatles songs which I found less interesting. I liked the theme! But I like themed playlists in general.

I heard those too - well, the Beatles tracks. :)

For some reason I've heard Paperback Writer 3 times already, and I only have listened to about 2 or 3 hours of programming thus far. First the stereo mix, then the mono mix, then the stereo again.

No, it was the studio version both times. It didn't really bother me. I probably hadn't heard that song in 10 years.

It was nice to hear Breakfast With the Beatles again on my way to the store yesterday. I heard "Bad Penny Blues" by Humphrey Lyttelton for the first time, followed by "Lady Madonna" -- sounds like Paul definitely based his piano part on BPB...
