I've seen one post for Stevie Nicks, I've always prefered her bandmate, Christine McVie.

Anyone care to hear a neat hybrid of western swing and Django-style acoustic jazz?

Formerly of Hot Club of Cowtown, Elana James (Fremerman)... better known for her bow skills (rightly so), she nonetheless possesses a silky-smooth, come-hither kitten purr of a voice.

I'm very grumpy and not easily smitten.

    But...

I had occasion to exchange hello's with Elana and give her an atta-girl when they played a small club here a couple years ago... she flashed me a smile that I cannot get out of my head to this day.

My personal favorite is Diana Krall.

Married to the man I now only refer to simply as The Luckiest Guy* On the Planet.

(*Actually, I normally substitute a different word here, but one that's probably not appropriate for this board!)

Melanie is one of most underrated singers from the last 40 years. Unfortunately, most people remember her for "Brand New Key" which was hardly representative of her music. (Still, better "Brand New Key" than "Alexander Beetle" which, inexplicably, people still call out for at her shows.) I think of all the great songs from "I Am Not A Poet" to the recent "Extraordinary" that have never been heard by most of the pubic, and it saddens me. Besides her own songs, she is an amazing interpreter---"Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" and "California Dreaming" come immediately to mind.

Has anybody mentioned the outrageously attractive and stunningly talented Gayle McCormack from Smith?
