Surprised this hasn't been posted before, but if it has it didn't turn up in my searches. Anyway, let's see 'em.

My favorite is the one with the brick, not sure what the acoustics are like but in general its the room with the best Chi as my mother in law would say.

I think seeing these has me feeling that I'd prefer trade offs of a cozy room with flaws vs. a perfect but sterile listening room. The "Marten" room seems to be a show room (or at least looks like one), and the others (like that last guy who seems to have about your same system) look more like home theaters without screens.

That brick room is awesome! Reminds me of a hobbit hole/home.

I kind of expect to see swords and axes hanging on the wall.

Yeah, I just couldn't spend much time in a room full of diffusers on all sides. In most of these rooms, I don't even see where they put their bong.

The Harbeth/Rega system with the mountains in the background wins the thread by a large margin.

Wow - that is an extremely old photo of Mike Lavigne's room outside Seattle. Those are the VR9s and he has not owned those for 5 years or so. I did hear the room back in those days with those speakers but it sounds nothing like that today. You can find more recent photos on AudiogoN. You can see significant changes to the room as well as the equipment.

I've heard Mike's system on a number of occasions. He's very nice guy, and it is a jaw dropping experience.

Great thread Brian. Some beautiful rooms here.

Now if you could get some of those ladies into some of these rooms.....

Makes my listening rooms look like a complete dump. And I thought mine were nice. Huh, if only I had 500,000$ for gaudy. I'll keep my dump, it's much more livable, and many of these rooms, as mentioned, have no table/packing station for a nice 6 foot graphic. Where is the refrigerator, with the frothy cold German bier, or a Guinness tap?

Huh, maybe mine aren't so dumpy after all

2 taps of cold draft beer in my listening room.

So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
