Beautiful yet lesser known Prog Rock album covers/gatefolds

    I've noticed that prog has had some of the most creative and beautiful album covers I've ever seen especially in 70's. I love the artwork which is usually inspired by fantasy / space themes, seen tons of them especially on the Vertigo label.

    I'd love to see some of your favourite prog album covers apart from the obvious ones like Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Genesis etc.

    I've listened to this album many times yet never knew that it had such a brilliant trifold sleeve. Definitely need to find a vinyl copy.

  15. I too immediately thought of that one! The original UK Lp version is so gorgeous... As are so many other ones (prog, but also the progressive folk genre) from that era in the UK, with lots of finesse in the hues and textures.

    This is actually from a forum member here, I believe. PIctures of these rarer albums are really hard to come by, so much for everything being on the internet.
