Since I haven't used this beautiful stereo amp in a while, it's time for it to go to a good home. Sniff sniff. Before I list it on Ebay, is there anyone here who wants a DEAD MINT 1967 McIntosh 240 stereo amp? It is from 1967 and probably has less than 50 hours on it. Owned by a dentist from Brentwood, it's filled with Telefunken input tubes and 4 matched "magic midrange" GE 6L6GC power tubes (my favorite). Has matching tube cage and comes with original Mac 240 owners manual, etc.

Please note that since it has a volume control, you can plug your CD player right in to it directly. Amazing tubey McIntosh sound, full of the "breath of life", and as you know, 45 tube watts a channel sound more like 100!

If anyone is interested, please e-mail my webmaster.

I really want this piece to go to a wonderful home. It is an amazing sounding unit.:)
