I know there's probably not a definitive answer to this question, but I just purchased a Micro Seiki belt driven table for my foray back into vinyl. The seller claimed to have just installed a new belt. Assuming it's new, how long do you think it will last with maybe 250 hours of use per year in a non-smoking environment? Should I pick up a spare belt now? Or is the motor likely to give out before the "new" belt does? BTW, the table appears to have been lightly used, but who knows for sure?

    Thanks for your opinions!

Belts, depending on the material, can last a very long time.

The neoprene belt on my AR-XB is over 25 years old.

The more you use it, the longer it will last. Belts get streched out when they are not used.
