Thanks, I just heard it on Spotify.
IMHO, it sounds a little dated.
    YMMV.

maybe a dozen records on Drag City records, eight Matador releases, four-five albums on Merge records, several notable Thrill Jockey affairs. a few minor albums on Touch and Go/Quarterstick records. artists on European labels like Touch and Mego produced some really far out electronic/improvised stuff. a couple notable (landmark) albums released on Warp Records. Jim O'Rourke did great things (reissues, mostly) with his Moikai label. Hard to choose. AiC Dirt is, objectively (probably), the best one of all. Danzig 4? Teenager of the Year? Trompe le Monde? Stoned and Dethroned? So Tonight that I Might See? sheeeeeeit. having a hard time choosing the absolute best

it's gotta be a tie between Mike Watt's Ball-Hog or Tugboat? or Contemplating the Engine Room.

So many good albums, very fortunate to have grown up in the 90's - it's second only to the 60's for music. Some of my favourites...

    UK albums:
    Supergrass - I Should Coco
    Pulp - Different Class
    Radiohead - The Bends
    Depeche Mode - Violator

    US albums:
    Pearl Jam - Vitalogy
    Nirvana - In Utero
    Lemonheads - It's A Shame About Ray
    Weezer - Pinkerton
R.E.M - Automatic For The People

Tough to pin down a "best", since there are thousands of releases from the 90s that I've never heard.

    Personal favorite might be:

    The Original Sins - Move

I was playing this pretty much all last week in my car. It still gets me, 25 years after its release.

Laika had two great records in the 90s, I could pick either as my favorite, Silver Apples of the Moon or Sounds of the Satellites. Their first single was a great introduction, 44 Robbers/Coming Down Glass, it was really a double A-side for me, with fun and inventive music that felt completely new to me at the time, actually still sounds kinda new to me ...
