There used to be a cool theme song site that I can't remeber the name of but it had either "archive" or "database" in the name. It had authentic, full and alternate, versions of a bunch of stuff, seemingly straight from tapes. It eventually ended up requiring a membership, and that's when I stopped thinking about it and eventually forgot the name.

I looked but the one I remembered was not on there. There are some "remakes" but not originals ... I'll keep digging. I thought it had an actual name but I can't find it now.

There was a TV show in the 60s that all I remembered was an eerie theme opening that although I can't remember the show, I can't forget the imagery. It starts out totally black, then the music starts and you see an animated door in the distance open with a tiny figure at the door, and a long shadow from the figure in the doorway . I always ran away from the TV when I saw this, so I never knew what show it was. Does this sound familiar with anyone? It usually came on late at night, either at 10pm or after the news.

The second season of SUSPENSE THEATER had a slightly altered theme. Both versions were by John Williams.

This? All I did was type in "Night Court Theme Full". :p edit: Oh, maybe it's a remake.

How about this rarity from 1991? It only lasted for 12 episodes, but Leon Russell did the theme song.

Also, any opportunity to hear Leon Redbone and see Bob Uecker is good.

Yeah, this is a remake or another version from what I heard and saw before. The original one had still pictures from the show panning and moving and highlighting the characters and cast members. Still this is good but not the one I heard originally. Plus the "jam" in the middle of the first one was real funky and raved up. I am confident I will find it again someday!

Yeah, as soon as I saw this video I knew just from the images and how they just freeze and not what I remembered. Regardless it is still a great song. Whenever I hear it I think of my grandpa and how much he loved that show!

Best---Hawaii Five-O, Mission Impossible and M Squad (not from the first year, but the one Count Basie did so well).

There have been so many bad ones I couldn't try and pick out a worst.

You want bad? Look no further than the intro to The Wacky World of Tex Avery. This might be without a doubt the worst, most horrendous, ugly, attention-seeking, loud, obnoxious, whiny, cringe-inducing opening to any TV show I've ever seen in my life. I can guarantee Tex Avery would have hated it too if he'd lived long enough to see this abomination.
