I like their "West coast sound" on first two albums.

I still need to hear those. I wasn't even aware of the band at all until Picture You.

This is a great album. It’s darkwave-ish. I heard it in the shop today and for a second I though it was New Order. Bought it before I left.

Think I probably said it before here, but new Minami Deutsch today! Sounding good, though a little disappointed that I won't get the vinyl for a couple weeks, guess it got delayed or I missed the first batch. No matter, fun album in whatever form, even if just streaming from Spotify.

Next up on the agenda, new Virginia Wing, but probably be a few unknowns coming along before that, afterall, it's still over a month away ...

Honestly, there's not a bad song on the album.

Got the FACS album on vinyl on Friday. This is definitely one of those situations where format matters. I had been listening on Spotify prior to my vinyl delivery and was underwhelmed, but it all makes sense now listening to the vinyl...texture, air, intensity. Top class

If you think like Irish mythological literature (or Scottish as this is the epic metal narration of stories from McPherson’s Ossian that was called the greatest literature in human history by Thomas Jefferson) from the pre-industrial era check out this concept album by Celtachor (Irish black folk metal) called Fiannaoicht:

The new Sleep "The Sciences" has jumped to the top of my list and will most likely stay there...

I'm a sucker for quality, sophisticated synth/electropop, so I've been really enjoying Kimbra's new album, Primal Heart.
    Love her voice and songwriting.

I listened to the L.A. Salami album today. I think I'd have liked it better without the political lyrics and the guy's voice was a bit annoying for me. The music seemed decent, though.

And what are your thoughts on new A Perfect Circle album? I think it's a real grower, was a bit confused at first but after couple of spin I like it more and more. "The Doomed" might be the best song of 2018 for me so far...

Wow, seventy-minute ambient rock masterpiece. My favorite part is the "breakdown" on track seven. I had never heard of this band until just now. After a few listens, it sounds like an album of the year candidate.

Nope. I gave up on vinyl 25 years ago. CD sounds great though.

Based on Shopping and Preoccupations, both are great, I decided to check the rest of your list. Have only got to Acid Dad so far but wow, this album is phenomenal! Thanks so much.
