Best song and/or album by a mixed gender duo

    Not officially. There is a recent Japanese CD that I heard good reports of likely from a needledrop. Great sounding on the original vinyl.

    And it's got Summer Wine, and it's got Sand... and it's got a few duds, but those songs alone make it a worthy candidate.

    Other than that, I'd nominate Ike & Tina Turner - River Deep, Mountain High. Both the single and the album.

    I like this album track even better than the title track:

    Massively underappreciated record. I suppose it's stretching the rules just a bit since several Airplane members also play on it, but it is largely Paul and Grace. Just a year before, as part of Blows Against the Empire, Grace and a double-tracked Jack Casady (come to think of it, Grace's vocals are double-tracked as well and I believe that's her on acoustic guitar) produced this gem:



    (also includes the intro to Have You Seen the Stars Tonite)

    Minor Alps, the duo of Juliana Hatfield and Matthew Caws of Nada Surf. Two fantastic songwriters working very well together. I hope they make a second album.
