Two choices? Pretty positive what the two winners will be. Had to vote for "One Of These Days" too but also chose "Fearless". Not necessarily a revolutionary song but I always loved it's simplicity. Same goes for "A Pillow Of Winds".

As a complete track One Of These Days is perfect to me.
Of course, Echoes stands as a true landmark song (causing most intense mood) ... but i will NEVER really like the psychedelic middle part! Prefering the shortened "Echoes" 2 disc collection version...

My favourite Floyd album. I think we all know what the best song is, it's on Side 2.

Not even one vote for the others yet? Thought San Tropez would have a few, and Pillow of Winds a lot more. I also thought Fearless would be almost double One of These Days, not the other way around.

I wanted to be that guy so I voted Seamus........
In reality there are really two choices and they reside 1 and 2 in this poll......

I have gone for A Pillow of Winds. What a great Gilmour vocal. Fantastic guitar work. Kind of a spooky, summery vibe but also softly warming. I never tire of this track. No flab on it....now Echoes might be a bit "over-done" in places, which is why I didn't go for it, magnificent work as it is. Damn fine album. Arguably only Seamus lets things slip a bit.

I only like the first and last track of this album, everything else in between is kinda meh

A Pillow of Winds -> forgettable

Fearless -> not a fan of the football chanting

    San Tropez -> elevator music

Seamus -> this track feels like something that belongs to some really boring Sunday afternoon TV talent show, they used a similar track in the Live at Pompeii movie and it's also my least favorite part of that movie.

A Pillow of Winds is a classic.
Also you can vote twice if you didn't know.

Ouch but fair enough. Agreed about the football chanting. It was cool the first, second and even third time, but now it's just annoying.

San Tropez and Echoes are the two I immediately go for.

I went with Echoes but, in all honesty, this isn't one of my fav PF efforts as for some reason I just can't "get into it" :hide:

    incredibly hard choice ....
I went with fearless, I really love the song and the you'll never walk alone crowd singing at the end is a perfect coda.
It could easily have been one of theses days, echoes or even seamus, which i am also very fond of.

Slightly off subject: I listened to "Obscured By Clouds" last night. A forgotten beauty though some of the instrumentals just sort of peter out.

Fantastic album. I love the instrumentals too. I'll do a poll for it next.

Side 2. You know what song it is...^^
Second choice is either 'San Tropez' or 'A Pillow Of Winds'. Love the whole album.

Fearless. It’s a trip from start to finish. And putting a crowd singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” is so intriguing to me.

The crowd singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" was a bit strange imo. The song is very much associated with Liverpool FC and whilst I feel it is the best club football song out there, it does very much geographically pin point it. I don't know what Cambridge United's song is but they could have used that if they could find enough Cambridge fans ;)

"Echoes" hands down, though I also like all of the others. Yes, even "Seamus."

I voted Echoes which was an easy choise, as I feel it’s in the top five of songs they ever did. And the poll results as of right now reflects how I would rank the songs on the album!
