    That's a steal! Thank you.

But.... Are these analog? (not cut from digital files)

Thanks anyway. It looks exactly like the german 1993 pressing of this album, same barcode and labels. Maybe from the same stampers? Who knows, I'll give it a try.

A few years back, I ordered a random copy from Acoustic Sounds, when it arrived it was a blue/yellow Reprise from Germany. I read on the forum here somewhere that that was the normal, current copy available.
    I think you'll be happy.

My french original copy has the US mastering, the promo cut with 1A and 1B matrix. Sounds great. And cheaper than a US promo copy !

I have a textured cover, made in Germany. On the front cover there's a yellow sticker with an exclamation mark !
I've had this album for year's.

That usually indicates one of their Prime Cuts! Series.

I have an (early?) US copy with textured cover, insert and all. Side one is IH, while side two is IJ. For some reason side one souds much weaker than side two. While side one sounds veiled and congested, side two is much more lively. Has anybody had a similar experience? Could this be be a matter of recording or is it a mastering matter? Some of you mentioned IH pressings you like. Are we here in Tom Port territory?

Were there ever US copies without the textured covers? Agreed with everyone saying you can't go wrong with an early US copy, it's a monster (my copy is 1B stampers on both sides and sounds clean as a whistle despite some visual scuffing/hazing and is one of my most treasured records.)

My US copy is IH on both sides. My French copy is IA and IB on the respective sides.

I have a German reissue from a few years ago that sounds fine.

Yes, it's very good but sounds just slightly veiled to these ears.

This reissue is from 2002 according to discogs. I wasn't aware of this forum and was not buying vinyl remasters then, just what was used where I could find it. Was it normal to cut vinyl from digital then or do all analog?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have a copy of this and it sounds FANTASTIC. As good as my original vinyl pressings of Neil, would be shocked if its digital, if it is, good pressing.

I agree, I finally got it. It was around 10 dollars including shipping to Uruguay. It was a great deal and I'm very happy with it. Such a great album!

Not sure what you mean with "Prime Cuts! Series". German pressings with yellow stickers with an exclamation mark were cheap reissues. Sometimes the mastering was excellent, sometimes not so much.

That's exactly it....their cheap reissues were branded as ”Prime Cuts!”

Found an ex-radio station copy of Zuma today, for $7.95 in great shape. Lots of stickers and such on the cover but it includes the original inner sleeve and lyric sheet.

My copy has "Mastered by George Horn" printed on the label. There's also a version without this attribution. Can anyone shed light on this difference? Are both the same mastering?

    Matrix info on my copy:

MS 224231966 -1B, with a very faint "D4" on the opposite side
MS 224231967 -1B, with a very faint "A2" on the opposite side

I currently have the 2002 Europe pressing that currently out there quite cheap. Should i upgrade for the newish Chris Bellman cut?

Any opinions and the differences between these two would be great, as they are the two common choices out there at the moment...

I have both. No reason. The 2002 EU version is at least as good.

Wow, thats quite suprising. I wonder if the 2002 is cut from tape? Im sceptical though, as it has MK in the deadwax which i think is an engineer at Optimal?! I know the CB cuts are supposed to be from tape...
