I don't lose interest in the show, but I damn sure forgot all the details. This show has so many subtle shifts and plot points, I cannot recall what degrees of trouble Jimmy was in at the end of last season. I've felt that during the waits between every season, more so than other shows/movies.

Totally! I'm going to need to rewatch the prior season myself.

In fairness, that's the way McKean and the creative team spoke about it right after the episode aired.

I'm sure AMC will run a marathon at least just before the new season. That's probably when I'll watch it.

Yes, I thought it was well understood that the end was his end. It's how does Jimmy handle the demise of his brother.

I just ran through the complete Breaking Bad series, I am now beginning a trip through all three seasons of BCS.

I forgot just how great BB was. Perfect television.

Right, it bugged me then too, but I had forgotten about it and could have been surprised again. :)

I've been re-watching Season 3 in preparation for the new season. Lots of incredibly well thought out brilliant schemes were presented. Mike had at least two: the gps transmitter idea and the shooting of the drug from the shoes on the wires above the helgado truck. Jimmy and Kim's plot to defeat Chuck at the ethics hearing was also brilliant. I'm only into ep. 7. I'd forgotten how well written this is.

Michael McKean should have got an Emmy for the court room scene alone.

I trust Gilligan and Gould. The BB character is someone mentioned but who never appeared on screen.

    C'mon season 4.
In case anybody is interested, Rhea Seehorn was also in season 2 of the now-cancelled Hulu series "Shut Eye" for a few episodes. She's such a good actress.

I don't view it as a cheesy way to gimmick up the show. BCS was never intended to be a totally independent thing. It depicts the evolution into Saul Goodman. The people he knew in BB, of course, are part of his life earlier. Their intros on this show has all been natural and not gimmicky. I would expect Kuby to be introduced this season. Maybe even Gale - after all, Gus was on the verge of opening his laundry operation.

Yep, same here. I remember back when S1 dropped, Vince was asked about BB characters being part of the new show and he replied that a BB character would only be introduced if it made narrative sense to do so. He wasn't interested in 'stunt' casting. So yeah, he's well aware of that potential trap and I trust him to handle things appropriately.

I suspect we will still be seeing him in flashbacks. Sadly he can no longer be a prime character. What a great actor (among other great acting on this show).

  25. Yeah, they've also been showing snippets during commercial breaks for Preacher.

I'm totally amped! I have my Season 3 BDs just waiting for the right time to binge before the new season comes on.
