Questions you ask yourself about music “decisions”...*

I'll start with - why doesn't "Letting Go" ever make it onto any McCartney & Wings best of/greatest hits albums??? Didn't even make it onto "Wingspan" - a 2CD best of. It's right up with my favourite post-Beatles McCartney songs and was issued as
a single. It wasn't a huge hit however, in my mind a great song. I don't get it??

What unanswered questions do you have?

 

Why did the German translators receive actual songwriting credits on “Komm, gib mir deine hand” & “Sie liebt dich”, instead of merely a fee for the translations?

 

Probably the same reason Chuck Berry found other persons co composer credits on songs he had written.

But the Beatles songs had already been written... they simply needed to be translated... does that warrant an actual co composer credit?

How do I know that every thread with a slightly generic title will inevitably commence with a Beatles/McCartney comment.

 

Well, in the case of "Hold your hand" they didn't translate the lyric but actually wrote their own genuine, substential and profound lyric, which translates back as:

...ok, not so with "She loves you" - they were getting lazy

But at least - one of the big questions solved!

My big question involves me being bewildered by some people's obvious hatred of 5.1 mixes. I understand if someone isn't interested in them, that's fine, but why are folks so openly aggressive towards them? It isn't like a 5.1 mix will ever erase a mono or stereo mix, they are completely different things.

 

Why haven't the Beatles released RUBBER SOUL with centred vocals yet?????

 

Why did I just buy another version of "Roger the Engineer" after purging four of my six last year? Why did I just get another "East-West" to add to the four I have already?
