Cool. Yeah, the WB green label is hard to beat when it comes to US pressings. I would like to get 'Heaven and Hell.' Do you know how that one is?

I have that one: WB 1980, BSK 3372

I recently played that about a month ago - cleaned it up on the RCM and was really really surprised at how good it sounded.

Cool. The first pressings have no barcode, true?

Mine may not be a first pressing then - mine has a barcode on the back 7599-23372-1

If the first pressing sounds even better then that would be impressive indeed!

Yeah, no problem. I think a promo copy would do the trick.

Well - thanks for the heads up on SBS.

I have 4 copies: original LP, remaster LP, the Castle CD and the Sanctuary CD.

None of them sound 'just right', imo - so still looking for the Goldilocks for SBS. :D

Hopefully, we'll get the gatefold cover on SBS. :)

You're welcome. I have 2 copies. An original WB palm-tree and a WB watermark pressing. The WB palm tree is good to my ears, but it's not the ultimate. That would go to the UK pressing.

Wish these had some inner artwork. Some pictures, album credits, mastering credits, lyrics. Anything really. But I hate seeing just a plain white sleeve in a new vinyl issue. I know MOR came with the poster, so that was nice. But just a single sheet insert if its not going to be a custom sleeve would be appropriate. The S/T one had nothing.

Hold out,...... look for a used WB. Heaven and Hell on Rhinovinyl is ???????? I played with my EQ during each track on side-one,.... Presume it's a mid quality digital transfer.

The packaging for all of them say "LP's cut from the original analog masters".

That Chris Bellman will cut these makes them a must buy for me. I absolutely love his work. Wish he or Grundman would have done the first three albums. Those are okay, but I think Ron McMaster did s/t and Master of Reality, which both came out a bit bright to my ears. Nice analog sound, though, Kevin Gray did Paranoid in 2004, I think. That is not a very good mastering, IMO. Way too bright. Nice dynamics though!

Looks like the release date for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath has been pushed back. Or maybe its just Amazon, but the other two are still showing to be available next week.

I could have written this post myself! You captured my sentiments EXACTLY. I do suspect Kevin probably used a copy tape rather than a British master. I like the sound of his "Paranoid" but it is a tad bright and I remember at least one other bothersome trait.

I was going to buy these even if Ron McMaster did them again -- but Chris will definitely take them to a whole other level. His name pretty much guarantees a purchase from me if I like the music at all.

Ok, thanks for the info. I already have a copy, but it's a WB watermark label reissue. So, I'm looking to upgrade. Is that ok, in your opinion? Also, the early pressings have no barcode, true?
