If Ford does come back then that was a long four years.

Glad that it doesn't seem to be a Jeter Blade Runner project.

I am a huge Blade Runner fan but will be skipping this. I will also skip the special European Cut and then the Directors Cut in the future and once the Final Cut is released I will buy the set of all of them on the format of the day

I'm not as excited by this as I would have been say 15 years ago due to recent performances by Scott and Ford. Well make that not excited at all.

    Both should retire IMO.

My favorite movie of all time but a worthy sequel will be difficult. I await with an open mind though.

Yes.... and this could well turn out to be yet another example of a mediocre to downright awful sequel diluting the power and artistic/emotional impact of the original movie.

I agree ...defintely another bad idea from the "suits" of Follywood .

    No thanks ...

Judging by how that last Alien movie turned out, maybe it's best if they leave Blade Runner alone. I've got no interest in seeing Harrison Ford reprise this role at this stage of his career either.

Oh come on! Who wouldn't want to see a Joss Whedon "Blade Runner: Resurrection"? :biglaugh:

Is Douglas Trumbull doing the special effects? Its the only redeeming part of the first movie for me.

With or without Vangelis? (Didn't know there was a Point Break sequel either.)

If they can just get a 35-year-old clone of Ford, I'll go see it. Especially if the clone doesn't mutter.

I don't know about retire, but their recent performances weren't very inspiring. Like many here I am skeptical but feel that it is possible to make another great movie.

Didnt they use Ford's son to fill in some extra shots on the re-shot Zhora 'retirement' sequence?;)

  21. Maybe they'll just use CGI to put his face onto another actor ala Tron:Legacy/Jeff Bridges/Clu

    Agreed.

Some movies don't need a sequel. And Blade Runner is definitely one of them.

2001 was another. And with that, my case is rested...

I doubt he 'waited' for anything. Life's priorities change. Besides, he was probably begged to reprise some of his most popular roles.
