I think Bull Moose limits pre-orders to one per customer.

So what's the difference between Japan edition and standard edition? What tracks are unique to Japan discs?

It was posted a few pages back but it appears it is the same tracklisting except disc 2 is missing the closing Like a rolling stone (Judas version).

No big loss at all. Who needs Judas version for the fourth time?

I think it’s just that the Japanese edition is on Blu-Spec.

Well, it is mine. I’ve even got items in both formats and I’ve discerned no benefits whatsoever.

That's cool. I have items in both versions and have heard subtle improvements.

It just now occurred to me that despite what the title says, a good five tracks (from the US edition) and six (from the Japanese edition) are NOT from "copyright collection", inasmuch as 1966 did not have a "copyright collection" release. (Unless you count the Big Blue purge as a form of a copyright collection.)

So as far as the title goes, I'm disappointed we don't get a further 5-6 tracks of new material from 1962-1965. But as a live anthology of Bob during his 1961-1966 prime, this collection is on pretty solid ground...so why not just title it that way?

It may not have been labeled as such, and it may have been given a wider release, but the Live 1966 box was most certainly a "copyright extension" move. So this new set offers some highlights for those who may not want to spring for a 36-CD box.

I know -- I hopped on this one as soon as it showed up as a Japan-only release, figuring it would be like the previous Japan-only live comp from several years ago. Now I'm wondering if I should attempt to cancel that order (which I believe was charged immediately) or just forget the extra money and enjoy the full tracklist -- for the "Like A Rolling Stone" I already have on three other CDs! :help:

As stepeanut said the earlier link only had MP3 for those of us that clicked on it and now it has the cd. Anyway I have preordered the cd from Amazon.de and will cancel if Amazon.uk come up with a similar price.

Mine was post N° 82. Admittedly, I just supplied the link. That’s why I asked if the U.K. would be able to beat 9,99€.

Anyway, of no real importance as long as we get it for cheap!

I'd like to have it for the fourth time around. It seems the logical conclusion to a Bob Live Compilation of these years. To me, it seems weird that it would end on an acoustic Johanna, as great as it is, instead of the apocalyptic Rolling Stone.

I hear what you're saying but a) it wasn't labeled as such ("copyright collection") and b) it wasn't released in limited quantities and under the radar. It's legit addition to the Bob canon. So it's weird to see it retroactively conflated with the genuine copyright collection material. Which raises the question: What's in it for Sony to stick "copyright collection" in the title anyway? It only matters to us Bob nerds who are gonna buy a set like this regardless.

I'm guessing that THEY think the "copyright collection" mention adds an air that conjures up rarity, limited availability and vague "insider" status, in the same fashion that "the bootleg series" was meant to do 27 years ago.
