He was pretty stoned on the 26th. May 26: Bob Dylan & The Hawks @ London 1966 » I’ve never done this before but I want you to meet Robbie Robertson here and, and Garth Hudson, Mickey Jones, Rick Danko, and, … and Richard! You promised me you were gonna leave. It doesn’t mean a thing now, but they’re all poets, you understand, if it comes out that way, it comes out that way, but, all poets you know. This song here is dedicated to The Taj Mahal. Now, we’re gonna leave after this song and I wanna say goodbye to all of you people, you’ve been very wo.. very people, you know, I …, you’ve been very nice people. I mean, here you are sitting in this great, huge place. And believe me, we’ve enjoyed every minute of being here!
It's believed there will be no Bootleg Series this year, but we still await an official announcement.
Are people only able to preorder through Amazon UK right now? Or is there another site that has it actually available for preorder?
I am surprised that the audience material is included in the physical box and not relegated to download status. Surprised, but not complaining (please no editing on those, Mr. Man?) Wonderful news, an absolute bargain, like having money that I already mentally spent put back into my pocket.
This is the show I remembered as the May 27 performance....so I'll have to check out my old bootlegs to see what the 27th actually sounded like...
What's circulated before is supposedly the electric set from the 26th (source for the 'Taj Mahal' LARS intro) and the acoustic set from the 27th (with the 'drug songs' rap before "Visions of Johanna"). Either a) this info has always been mistaken, and these sets are both from the same night, or... b) Bob was at least a *little* stoned on both nights. My money's on b)... Edit: three songs of the 26th acoustic set have circulated - that's the source for the Biograph "Visions of Johanna." So, b). The 5/27 acoustic set has Bob struggling a lot with his harmonica rack and guitar and his speech is... well, slightly altered. Also b).
Just to be able to hear the Paris shows after reading all these years about the tension at them, will be worth the price of admission alone.
I'm dying to hear the Paris concert, and any other concert included that I haven't heard before. Perhaps they will even upgrade the Bristol from an audience to a board tape? what d'ya think? This is exciting.
Can't wait for this! While the setlists are the same, the performances are not. There are some subtle and some not-so-subtle differences from night to night. Also some very interesting stage chatter. From the goofy little story about a painter named Tom Thumb and his famous Blue Period preceding Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues in Sydney 4/13 to the "I don't write drug songs" speech preceding Visions of Johanna in London 5/27.

Not sure where you got this info from, highwater, and how much of it is an audience tape? I'm really up for Newcastle, going by the best ever LARS on NDH
I think this also begs the question: if they can put out 36cds for this price, why didn't they release the other copyright dump sets (62, 63, 64) for general release? They would have sold, and people wouldn't have needed to bootleg them, negating their entire purpose.
That's what Rolling Stone is reporting. Also, that article posted above includes a previously uncirculated Tell Me Momma.
