Wow! This would definitely be a show to see this year. Sadly....

Any details on that reissue of the Bob Seger System reissue? Is it a remaster or just a reissue?

Think that he might add shows as this one sells out, and it will set out.. quickly.

That's the way he use to do it back when I lived in Michigan. The one year I saw him at DTE (Pine Knob), Joe Louis Arena and the Palace of Auburn Hills.

That reissue of Ramblin' Gamblin' Man is a shocker. I gotta figure they're testing the waters to see how many people really care. Could be that if that one sells well, they'll do more. That's a pretty fine album though that definitely deserves to be available.

I would like to see a CD reissue as well.

I suspect they are testing the waters. Hope.it.sells well and they will.continue to reissue other early albums.

No idea, that is the first mention of it that I have seen anywhere. It is up for presale on his website. Apparently Bob is feeling "nostalgic" so I wonder why ... perhaps revisiting his past albums?

According to Bob's website the DTE show sold out in presale so another show in the Detroit area is being scheduled and a date announced soon. I will be curious to see if the show is actually sold out or if tickets in the general sale come available Saturday morning.

The local radio stations are saying it is sold out and are talking about a possible 2nd show.

They play Ramblin' Gamblin' Man all the time on Little Steven's Underground Garage, so I assume they figured if not now, when?

The idea that any part of my electric and gas bills go to sponsor that venue pisses me off to no end. How that advertising deal is any benefit to me or persuades people to use more energy is beyond me.

That argument can fit at any venue, arena or stadium.

I have a friend in the concert business who told me recrently that Seger has a lot of arenas on hold for the fall while he decides whether to embark on a full-scale tour.

As does Neil Young. When I saw him there two summers ago, he must have said
`Pine Knob' a dozen times. And got a huge cheer each time.

    Then I hope this helps:

    Dear Bob:

You will sell out every single venue in every single city.

mystifies me that Bob Seger has never put out any sort of career spanning box set like every other artist??

Ramblin' Gamblin' man is good and all, but please give me Back in '72! That's the last Seger album I need. I would be a happy man.

No, not really. Banks, car companies, consumer goods, retailers and others like that, I have a choice in dealing with them and the advertising might be beneficial to them. My electric and gas provider, who I'm stuck with, has a captive set of consumers that they sell to. The money would be better spent on upkeep of the power limes. Maybe the fact that my power has been down for a day or more,, five times in the last two and a half years, is fueling my ire, just a bit. I digress, good to see Bob back out on tour.

I don't get it either. "Staples Center"...took me like two years to even associate that with the office supply store, because it just seemed like the name of the new arena. "Honda Center"-um, not gonna influence my purchase decision. Likewise the 60 billion "Verizon Wireless Centers" floating around.

Meanwhile, tickets go on sale for some show and you don't even know where it is without Googling to find out that's it's a place you already know.
