    It's superb. Like a soundtrack for a non-existent film.

Once bitten twice shy. I’d love to order this new compilation on vinyl, but owing to the English Weather debacle, am reluctant to. Didn’t even spring for Paris (heh).

It's a shame that there's so much bad publicity about the first pressing - I own the clear second pressing & have to say that it sounds great (quiet & clear). If there are any sonic flaws, I would suspect they might be down to the weaknesses in the original sources? (Some of this music is quite rare, so we could be potentially dealing with the odd needledrop, maybe?)

But im sure the mastering engineer was aware of this. Not much he can do.Saying that the cd is alright, on my system.( boombox..generally for CDs).

Have they mentioned where the title came from?
I wonder if it was inspired by a line from the track 'My Last Band' by Pete Piblokto "...moving through the English weather". Would have fitted in very nicely on the comp actually.

Read somebody in this thread complained about his clear vinyl pressing.

That IS a shame, then - sorry to hear it.

There was a second pressing ? I was told there wouldn’t be one. Some of it sounds OK, as per my last post on the subject, some items on Record Two sound dreadful (but don’t on the CD).

My understanding is that the clear vinyl pressing is the one and only pressing and therefore bad.

Thought there was a black vinyl pressing therefore available, bad ?

No, I don’t think so, I have the clear vinyl and it’s normal only in parts. A lot of it is awful.

Nice one! I love these compilations because, for the most part, they contain music that is so of its time and is unknown to me. The folk one is spectacular.
