I give it a B. It really didn't go all that deep into Weir's life through the decades. It was a broad overview which at times felt disjointed.

Not bad, but did not represent his playing, or showcase it all that well (although I realize this was not meant to be a music documentary per se). Very little of the type of info I'd want to hear, regarding his influences, what, if any, current music he listens to, in other words about the other one, insufficient focus on the music... and as expected, way too much time spent regarding the late Jerry G... yes, I fully understand his importance and impact on Bob, but it took the focus off of the main attraction if you will. Not bad, but short of greatness... unlike Bobs rhythm playing, which continues to bring me joy!

Just finished watching. It was brilliant! Going to watch it again tomorrow. Was so moved by Bob finally finding his biological parents. What a powerfully intense life he has lived.

I watched it last night, and I thought it was really good. Made me like Bob more than ever before, and I'm by no means a Bob-head.

Besides, there's really no way a single doc that can cover the entire Dead story. That being said, this doc gave a solid biographical story, which the important historical points touched upon.

Yeah, I enjoyed it, too. I've seen most of the archival film before, my favorite parts were Bob's underwater story and the kickin' version of "The Other One" at the end. I couldn't catch it in the credits, does anyone know who the big guy who was the other half of that final duet is?

Just finished watching... really liked it a lot. Got a bit choked up at the end, regarding Bob's biological parents. Hit home with me, since my wife is adopted (and has been interested for awhile about knowing who her biological parents are). She didn't watch the movie, but will soon (when I watch it again), and I'm sure that part will resonate greatly with her.

That was Dave Schools playing bass and signing duet with Bob on the "Other One" during the end credits.

It just skimmed the surface. It kept the viewer at arm's distance but that was ok, it showed his home studio which is always fun.
