Wasn't there a Borders coupon listed before that was good until 7/31?

The post has been conveniently deleted, so if someone could re-post it who knows what the url is, that would be great.

    Thanks.

    Here ya go...

    http://www.bordersmedia.com/coup/coupons_erewards2.htm

Borders coupon for 30% Off the List Price of One Item
(with a purchase of $10 or more).

It doesn't say Borders Rewards on it, but I would assume it is (the Borders rewards card is free and takes only a few seconds to get one in the store).

The previous coupon was good thru July 31, 2007, but this new one coupon has now been extended thru August 31, 2007.

The cashiers ask me for a Rewards card whenever they see this coupon (I've never obtained the card because I don't want to carry more cards around), but I simply point out to them that "this coupon is for everyone." They look at it, accept it and the coupon scans in without a problem. So you can use the Rewards card - or not.

I think you're right on this coupon, as I pointed that out to them as well. I think they're just in the habit of asking for the Rewards card. In any case, there is a benefit to using the card... one gets points for each purchase and they usually result as rebates for Borders Bucks. I had $5 in credit emailed to me, good on any purchase.
Also... many of the Borders Rewards coupons do require the card, and state so on the coupon.

i like using the card cause i keep getting money back from it...like, they'll say "oh you have 'x' dollars do you want to use it on this purchase"? when i least expect it. it amounts to a lot actually if you buy a lotta books/cds or dvds.

is this one different from the coupon originally posted? in other words, can i use another 30% off coupon?

The second coupon posted (by KBanya) is only different because it expires quicker (08/09/07). Either coupon will work as long as it's valid.
And it's a single-use coupon - one coupon per purchase. Borders doesn't allow using multiple coupons at one time.
If you are a customer who is receiving money back through "Borders Bucks", they will allow you to use this with any purchase, even with a coupon involved.
    Hope this helps...

Does anyone have the link to the 30% expiring August 31, 2007? Here's what on the second link:

Thank you for visiting BordersStores.com. We're sorry, but this offer has now expired.
Find out about other in-store specials by subscribing to Borders Mail. Or, visit our Special Offers page, where you can find information about sales and promotions taking place in your favorite Borders store.

Darn....I went to Borders earlier today and when the link failed to work, I just printed out the 20% coupon instead. Let's hope I recoup that $9 some other way.

I actually got two separate things (Lawrence of Arabia/$39.99, Battle of Algiers Criterion/$49.99), but would have just had someone buy the other for me with the coupon. Could have got them for $27.99 and $34.99.

At one point, Borders had some deal where you spend xx amount of dollars in a month, you wold get a certificate for xx% off your next visit/some type of appreciation day thing. Do they still do that?

Never heard of that. They used to have Holiday Rewards where you got 5% of all monies spent given back to you at Christmas time to use for shopping.

I can't say for sure, but I don't believe so. I remember them explaining that when I first signed up for Borders Rewards. It's possible that I just haven't spent enough, but that would mean the amount needed is awfully high, because I have purchased a lot there the last couple of months.
