The debut is no doubt one of the greatest debuts by anyone

It's not even the greatest debut album of 1976.

Agree. Also, it's being at that "magic" age bracket 12 to 14/15 years old(give or take a few years either way) and not excluding anyone outside that age group but, remember those days when something came along and it was more than just an album? It was magic!Maybe it defined a whole Summer for you let's say as THE SOUNDTRACK of your life at that time.Or a school year (or both) I love revisiting music (more and more I've noticed too) that I can still feel or hear the echos of my youth now embedded in the music.Priceless IMHO as I count the S/T Boston as one of those for me..:)

One of those few albums with all great songs, not a weak one in the bunch. With that said, because side 1 got so much airplay I favor some of the side 2 songs now like Something About You and Let me take you home tonight. They all got play but some got hammered. For the pirpose of this poll though I checked all

And it also hit so completely that some of us never even had to buy it because every radio station and dorm room was playing it several times an hour
I will confess that I will still listen to Let Me Take You Home Tonight if it's on the radio. Can't take any other songs. I almost envy people born later who weren't subjected to such total and complete immersion.

Saturation. I know ,I had to leave that whole "Classic Rock" music (including Led Zeppelin my personal favorite) for about 10 to 15 years for Other genera/music. I do my best to listen nowadays with the ears of a WOWED teenager than a 56 year old who's heard it ...too many times:laugh:

If you don't like rock, there is still blues, jazz, country and classical for you. If you do like rock, then your post makes no sense to me.

Just because I like rock, doesn't mean that I have to like everything.

It is all of course my subjective opinion, and it wasn't meant to be offensive. I just happen to view it as a quintessential 1970s rock album, on the level of Who's Next , LZ IV or Born To Run.

Tom would be very happy in the company of the first two. I don’t consider Bruce as AOR classic rock for this album outside the title track.

I don't know why classic rock and arena rock are so reviled in some circles
