Bought a Sherwood S-5000 today Recommend 7591 Tube?

This is the later model with 7591 tubes. Has anyone tried the new manufacture Tung Sol 7591 vs NOS power tubes? I know the JJ brand & Electro Harmonic is not as good as NOS tubes.

 

The new Tung Sol are great. I bought a quad from Jim McShane to compare to the quad of Westinghouse 7591s in my Fisher 500c and they didn't miss a beat. The Westinghouse are now my back ups. I should also mention that the newer Electro Harmonic 7591 are pretty good.

The new production Tung Sol 7591s are so good that I couldn't justify spending the money for NOS 7591s. As with all new tubes just make sure you're getting them from a reputable seller. I can't recommend Jim McShane highly enough for the Tung Sol.
