I have Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Station To Station and ChangesBowie. Still haven't thought about "moving up" to the Virgin re-Mew-sters because they haven't put out a greatest hits. I can't stand the idea of having the first three titles on Ryko and the last on Virgin. Same goes for the Elton John Island catalog. With Elton I finally sold my Polydor Greatest Hits and went the multi-CD Island route (a la Creedence K2). I know most of you don't care for these (Elton or Creedence), but I love 'em!

Have you given yourself the chance to experience the superior sound of the RCA's?

Dave, you're still talking to me?:)

Nah, I found out about the RCAs way too late (Actually, since joining this forum). I don't have the initiative at this point to hunt them down on the web. Plus I keep thinking: What if once I get them for a pretty penny, I hate them? Nah, I'm waiting for the next set of remasters. From what I've read here, it shouldn't be long...

Why would he not talk to you? Dave is one of our Gold Disc experts - and the undisputed MFSL expert (IMO, of course!). I've got Changes and Low, Ryko Gold.

I found out about the RCA's way too late, too. You'd think they'd be in used CD shops or something. Nope. Not 'round here anyway!

My best version is the RCA vinyl of Ziggy! I must have got a "hot stamper" version by luck!

And I am like you - I really hope the next set of remasters are better than the Virgins! :)
