Been listening to Sunday more lately, because of this fanmade tribute mix built on his vocal track >everything has chaaanged

This version fits pretty good with DB's version of A Foggy Day In London Town that is pretty hard to find. (open video on Vimeo in new tab)

I had the Ziggy Hammersmith Odeon show in the car this afternoon and the performance of "My Death" was pretty amazing.

Another vote here for "Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing (reprise)".

Rich and dark vocals & lyrics, goth rock before there was goth rock.

Mostly Speak/Sing; yet enjoy the story & the more powerful chorus as well!!

Slow, brooding, building, climactic; fantastic lyrics, melody, vibe.

I was forever changed after it went in my earholes and seeped into my brain.

Thought of another one from 1. Outside, the very atmospheric song "The Motel".

Love the mood change on the bolded part (one of the many great moments in Bowie's discography, IMO):

    "And there is no hell
    Like an old hell
    There is no hell
And the silence flies on its brief flight
A razor sharp crap shoot affair
And we light up our lives
And there's no more of me exploding you
    Re-exposing you
    Like everybody do
    Re-exploding you
I don't know what to use
    Make somebody move
    Me exploding
    Me exploding you"

Also love Eno's description of Bowie recording the vocals in-studio for the track "No Control", from the same album; how Bowie sang the last few lines, looking up at the sky, fully embodied in the part like a stage actor:

    "I can't believe I've no control
    It's all deranged
    Deranged
    Deranged.."

A note on the cat people single, the soundtrack take and mix is a different one to the Lets Dance album take, it was done earlier. and IMO is much better. There are two mixes, one long, one short. The long dance mix is amazingly good and equally amazingly well recorded. Real audiophile system demo stuff.
Heroes on the other hand, while a truly great performance, is not a great recording.

You betcha, I used the Moroder 12" in my uni days whenever I got fed up with my upstairs neighbour's lousy drumming.
